Telehealth and your consent

Effective September 17, 2026 · Last updated September 17, 2026

Medical care for therapies ordered through Avellum comes from independent licensed clinicians working through OpenLoop Health, our telehealth partner. This page explains that arrangement and where to read the telehealth consent you agree to during your medical intake.

Who provides your care

  • Avellum runs this website and your account. Avellum does not examine you, and it does not decide whether you are prescribed anything.
  • Clinical services are delivered by independent licensed clinicians working through OpenLoop Health, which operates the medical intake, the telehealth visit, prescribing, refills, payment for medication, and patient support under the Avellum name.
  • Your clinician uses their own clinical judgment. They can ask you for more information, and they can decide that a therapy is not right for you.

Before your visit, the medical intake asks you to agree to a telehealth consent. It is OpenLoop Health’s document and OpenLoop Health keeps the current version, so it is published on their site rather than copied here. That way the version you read is the one in effect. It also names the medical groups responsible for your care.

Read the telehealth consent (opens OpenLoop Health’s site in a new tab)

Please read it before you agree to it during your intake.

Telehealth is not for emergencies

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not wait for a message from your care team.

Your information

How Avellum handles your information is set out in our Privacy Policy and our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. The Terms and Conditions describe the telehealth arrangement in more detail.
